Trying hard too, but can't - sleep
Coming out in the hall, a few scrolls on 'Friendlist', a couple of attempts on one tough level of 'Angry Birds'. Still no sleep. I then wonder about folks back home. Must be 1:30pm in Mumbai right now. Makes me think that we may be sleeping or trying to sleep in here, but people are active and working on the other side. The show goes on someplace else no matter what.
Reminds you of your insignificance. You are inert for time being, but Oil is being drilled in Alaska, Missles being fired in Libya and another covert operation on Al Qaeda being planned in some secret location. Moreover, you sleeping or being awake is largely indifferent to the way things go on. It's often said that one can make a difference, a truth which I don't deny. That is however, so ineffectively untrue when one's ego acts otherwise.
Looking in History, we see that people who have thought themselves as the least over-haulers of scenarios around, but yet kept on working on one path. These people made some of the most remarkable 'one man made' changes ever. Revolts in Tunisia may have been heavily supported by social networks like Twitter and Facebook, but it is interesting to see Gandhi run three major movements against the British Imperialism without having much access to media or internet 80 years ago. He wanted the change, but was definitely not thinking on lines to be 'the only one who will make a change'. That's what separates from the rest of the 'One'.
Realization of being the 'One' doesn't make Neo arrogant, buts makes him more dedicated towards the mission. Mission that his specialty is a trait to be used for a purpose, and not just for making bullets stop in mid air, only followed by the inability to stop them later.
